The Faculty for the bell installation was forthcoming a month before Christmas 2011, and work then proceeded apace. The existing G&J bell was temporarily removed from the tower on Monday, 2nd January 2012. This bell returned to St. Giles in June,  to join the new miniature ring of six (tenor 2¾ cwt). Five of these new bells were part of the front six of the ring of ten that was originally cast for Old St Martin's, Worcester.
