JUNIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our regular programme of Sunday school sessions will reopen on Sunday 14th January

Here is the Full Programme for the Spring Term 2024.

Junior Sunday school, for children 3-8 years of age meets on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month at 9.50am.

We follow a termly programme based on an Old or New Testament theme. We share bible stories, have a chat and enjoy lots of different craft activities. It’s often noisy!

During the Spring 2023 term out theme was Jesus the Teacher. Here is what we did….We learnt about forgiveness. The Unforgiving Servant teaches us to forgive as many times as necessary – as God forgives us. We too, need to forgive others. Matthew 18   We learnt that there is more to life than money. The story of the camel going through the eye of the needle (the gateway) teaches us that money, wealth and possessions are not the things that matter to God.  Mark 10:25   We learnt to put God first. The story of the Rich Farmer teaches us to put God first and not spend our time on earthly matters.  Luke 12:16-21   We learnt to trust God. Just like the birds of the sky and lilies of the field, we cannot control everything in our lives. By placing our trust in God, our lives with Him will be rich. Matthew 6:26-29   We learnt to love everyone. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches about love. Matthew 5:44-48   We learnt about giving and generosity. The story of the Widow’s Coins teaches us to be generous.  Mark 12, Luke 21   We learn about pride and humility. God hears our faithful, honest and sincere prayers. Luke 18

Junior Sunday School meets on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month in the St Giles Centre at 9:50am.

We use story, song and craft to get across our message of God’s love for us and to teach the children about Jesus

If you are interested, please bring your children to St Giles Centre, Church Road, Farnborough. We walk them back to church before the end of the service.
Children must be aged 3+ and can be accompanied until they are settled. Our motto is ‘Friendship and Faith’ and we look forward to welcoming you.
