


ST GILES FARNBOROUGH - RECENT EVENTS
On Sunday 3rd July 40 babies, children and young people,
their families and members of the congregation attended
the 10am service to celebrate and offer thanks for the
children and young people who attend our church.

After an absence of two years, the Rectory Garden Fete was back, on
Saturday 25th June .. As well as being a wonderful community event for our
Church and village it was also a valuable fundraising occasion for the life and
work of St. Giles. |

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee was marked by a special evensong service
that featured the combined choirs of St Giles Farnborough and St.
George's Bickley. The highlight was a performance of
Zadok the Priest by George Frideric Handel |

Tree Felling in the ChurchyardIn February 2022 two trees were taken down in the churchyard. Despite the heavy winds of the previous week this was a planned operation, deemed necessary because of disease.More Photos |

having one last year, even though it was only for 3 days and we had a
fewer number of children. |

Quarter Peal in memory of
A quarter peal was rung in Graham's memory on Tuesday
1st June. This was the first ringing of the St.
Giles bells since the augmentation to eight bells
carried out earlier this year, however due to COVID
restrictions only six bells were used on this occasion. |
