REMEMBRANCE SERVICE 2023
I just want to say thank you to everyone at St. Giles who worked so hard to provide such a wonderful observation of this year's Remembrance Sunday. The music, the flowers and warm welcome offered to all our visitors were amazing and I was so grateful to Mr. Terry Cornell for the very moving speech that he gave at the 10.00am service on his father's experience as a POW in WWII. Some of you have been asking about the book I referred to in my evening talk on Sir Harold Gillies. The book is The Facemaker by Lindsey Fitzwilliam. I found this a really inspiring book and I hope you find it as interesting as I did.
Matthew
