About St. Giles Centre

St. Giles Centre is situated in Church Road about 150m from St. Giles Church.

The Centre was erected in 1971 to replace the Annex. This had been located in the churchyard by what is now the Garden of Remembrance, but had to be demolished following a fire.

The original purpose of the Centre was exclusively for church-related use but in 1986 an extension was built to provide an additional room, toilets and a small kitchen.

The Centre is used for church-related activities, Sunday School, Mothers’ Union, Meetings, Coffee Mornings etc.

The Centre is also available for hire by other organisations and individuals, and is or has been used by a Nursery Group, a Music teacher, Rainbows, Brownies and Weight Watchers.
